Encoding has been referred to as "drugs" or "love addiction". Our focus on others helps reduce our pain and inner emptiness, but ignoring ourselves increases only. This habit becomes a circular independent system that takes on its own life. Our thinking becomes obsessive and our behavior is forced, despite negative consequences. An example might be calling a spouse or a former, we know we should not sacrifice ourselves, finances or values to meet someone, or snooping out of jealousy or fear. Therefore, codecracy is referred to as addiction.
Experts agree that addiction is a disease similar to other diseases. The American Society of Addiction Medicine defines addiction as chronic progressive brain disease, affecting wages, incentives, memory and related cycles. It is characterized by desire, denial, disturbance of emotional responses, and inability to constantly resist and control behavior. To detect mild metabolic use, only two of 11 symptoms, which may vary in continuity, can be found in the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM-V).
However, there is no comprehensive consensus on the definition of "diseases" itself. Previously, the definition needed to be prolonged and progressive. Now, the American Medical Association defines disease as a condition that inhibits normal functioning, creates harm and has a distinction between symptoms or symptoms. In 1956, it was decided that addiction was a disease and in 2013 also called an obesity disease. Priority in both cases was to reduce these conditions and encourage treatment.
Is a codecision disease?
In 1988, psychologist Timmen Cermak suggested that codecision is a disease that reports an addictive process. Psychiatrist and physician in Internal Medicine, Charles Whitfield, described consistency as a prolonged and progressive disease of "lost-selfhood" with known, treatable symptoms – such as chemical dependence. I agree with Dr. Whitfield, and in code loading for dummies, it means coding like a disease that is lost itself. In recovery, we recover ourselves.
Coding is also characterized by symptoms that vary according to context similar to those related to drugs. They range from mild to severe, including dependence, denial, emotional response, desire and reward (through interaction with another person), and sensitivity to control or resist constraints without treatment. You increase your time for thinking, being involved and / or trying to control other people, just as drugs with the drug. Other social, recreational or work activities suffer from this kind. Finally, you can continue your behavior and / or relationship, persistent persistent or recurrent social or human problems that it creates.
Code of Conductivity
Coding is prolonged with permanent symptoms that are also progressive, which means that they progress over time without intervention and treatment. In my opinion, codecision begins in childhood because of family disruption. But children are naturally dependent, it can not be distinguished for adulthood and start to establish a close relationship. There are three identified levels that lead to increased dependence on a person or relationship and the corresponding loss of self-esteem and self-defense.
The early stage could look like any romantic relationship with increased attention and dependence on your partner and the desire to please him or her. However, through coordination, we can become obsessed with man, rejected or sensible problematic behavior, doubting our perception, fail to maintain healthy goals, and give up our own friends and activities.
Gradually there is an increased effort to reduce the painful aspects of the union and anxiety, guilt and self-esteem. Within time, self-esteem will decrease when we do more of ourselves to maintain a relationship. Anger, disappointment and frustration grow. At the same time, we attempt or try to change our affiliates by monitoring, treating, rubbing or teaching. We could hide problems and stop from family and friends. There may be abuse or violence, but our mood worsens and obsession, dependence and conflict, withdrawal or increase in consistency. We could use other addictive behaviors to deal with, such as eating, slaughtering, shopping, working or abusing content.
Now emotional and behavioral problems affect our health. We may feel stress-related disorders such as gastrointestinal and sleep disorders, headache, muscle tension or pain, food damage, TMJ, allergies, mental illness and heart disease. Obsessive-compulsive or other addiction, in addition to lack of self-esteem and self-defense. Feelings of hopelessness, anger, depression and desperation grow.
The good news is that the symptoms are reversible when coding goes into treatment. People generally do not seek help until it is the crisis or they are in pain to encourage them. Usually they are not aware of their coordination and may also be denial of abuse and / or addiction to others. Recovery begins with education and comes out of denial. Reading about coordination is a good start, but more change occurs through treatment and comes with twelve steps, such as Al-Anon, CoDA, Nar-Anon, Gam-Anon or Anonymous Sex and Love Addicts.
In recovery you get the hope and the focus moves from the other man to you. There are early, middle and later stages of recovery as a parallel recovery from other drugs. At the middle of the level, you start building your own self-esteem, self-esteem and ability to state thoughts, wishes and needs. You learn self-esteem, goals and self-defense. Psychotherapy often involves curing PTSD and childhood injury.
In the late stage, happiness and self-esteem do not trust others. You get the ability of both independence and intimacy. You experience your own strength and confidence. You feel expansive and creative, with the ability to create and pursue your own goals.
The coding will not automatically disappear when you look for a context. Recovery requires ongoing maintenance, and there is no complete withdrawal. After a few years of treatment, the change of thought and behavior was constantly introduced and the tools and skills learned became new healthy practices. However, compatible behavior can easily occur under increased stress or interference. Completeness is the characteristic of the encoding. There is no such thing as perfect recovery. Repeated symptoms are only available with continued learning opportunities!
