– You must eat the elephant one bite at a time. " – Twi Ask
I came across this quote and I laughed out loud when I read it and the accompanying passage because it was so decent to me. I was working on a task involving details – my weakness "I'm good at seeing the big picture and focusing on the steps needed to get it done. However, implementing minor details pains me a lot. Here, just a few minutes earlier, I thought if I could eliminate some steps, I might finish this task sooner. You might be wondering what's all this, including eating an elephant, doing self-esteem, relying on the process, etc.?
Well, everything has a beginning, center and even. No matter what the situation we can not achieve without two. In some cases, especially when it's something positive, we get excited and rush through the steps, missing one or two (hlj be familiar) because we want to see the outcome. In an unpleasant situation we get through because we want it to end soon.
Despite the situation, positive or negative, we have to go through a process so use it while you're in it! This is not only important for projects, but certainly relevant to how we live, too. If we are going through life in rush to get from points A to Z, there are so many letters we could miss on the way. All that – together, makes up the alphabet. Decreasing and moving step-by-step has many advantages. Some of them are:
- It helps you relax and enjoy what you are doing.
- You are more likely to be open to opportunities and learn new things, not just about the project but the most important thing – about yourself that can improve your life.
- It Enhances Your Relationship And Relationships
- It saves time because when we rush, we often have to start up or spend precious time trying to fix things.
In the big scheme, this trip we call life is all about being the best man. Look at it, we'll get it by now and when it's time for us to stop, we'll go with nothing.
What other benefits do you see if you slow down and start eating an eel one bite at a time?
I really encourage you to share this post with at least one other. You must be surprised what the difference may have in their lives.
Until next …
