Self-improvement is making your life better. I hear from people, and to be honest, sometimes myself, the phrase, "I do not know what to do!" The truth is said, we know what to do.
Who should teach?
When we say we do not know what to do, we try to avoid the responsibility for the operation we know, deep in our hearts that we should take. Why do we do this?
If we say we do not know what to do and then someone else points to something and it does not work, they take responsibility. We can claim that it would be the advice of those who led us astray. If we just go out and do it and it turns out bad, then who can we teach?
The opposite side of the money is also true; however. If we take someone else's advice and it's going well, we have to give them credit. If we had just gone out and done what we knew had to be done, we could have taken credit for ourselves. The blame game is not a real issue here though
The long wait.
If we wait for someone else to follow and verify what we know now, we could wait a long time. Also, as this person can or does not know our circumstances closely, they can give us bad information. We may know better than an external expert! Why wait? Why dare not take the opportunity?
How do we know?
How do we know if what we think is right? Researches! When we talk about self-esteem, there are many books and audio lessons. You can read online from countless coaches and teachers. Visit self-help and self-sufficiency. It will not be long and you will begin to see patterns in what these people learn and advise you to make your life better.
If three out of every four say the same, you start to get the idea that what they say is probably of some value.
Stay there, do it, do not get a T-shirt!
Some people say they've tested this or that and it did not work. I say they have not tried it long enough, expecting instant results or half-hearted, not really believing it would work in the first place. All the self-tapping methods or courses do not work well if you never take the situation and do something about it.
The responsibility, the project is yours. We often know what we should do or we have heard it often. We are just afraid to go out and have a better life. What do you need to lose? Why not step out and follow your heart and your mind in a new and independent life?
